Bengaluru, 07 Mar 2025: n successful culmination 62 weeks of rigorous training, a ceremonial Passing Out Parade (POP) of 104thAeronautical Engineers Course (AEC) officers was held at Air Force Technical College (AFTC) Bengaluru on 07 March 2025. On the occasion, a total of 47 Engineering Officers including 10 Women Officers graduated from the College.
Air Marshal Vijay Kumar Garg, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Maintenance Command (MC),IAF was the Chief Guest for the event and he also inspected the parade as Reviewing Officer (RO).On arrival, he was received by Air Commodore Ashutosh Shrivastava, Commandant of the College.
During the parade, a series of spectacular performance was displayed that included flypast by Dornier aircraft, sky diving demonstration by ‘Air Devils’ team of Indian Air Force, drill performance by ‘Air Warrior Drill Team’ and a stunning performance by Army Service Corps’ (ASC) Motorcycle Display Team ‘Tornadoes’.
The prestigious ‘Sword of Honour’ for first in the order of merit was awarded to Flying Officer Ankush and the ‘President’s Plaque’ for the best Officer in professional subjects awarded to Flying Officer Ankit Raj. ‘The Chief of Air Staff Medals’ for being first in the order of merit in electronic and mechanical streams were awarded to Flying Officer Harshit Bilandi and Flying Officer Dongale Avishkar Namdev respectively.
Later, the Air Marshal addressed the gathering and congratulated the graduating officers. In his address, he emphasized the role of engineering officers towards ensuring the aerospace safety and furtherance of air power. He called upon the graduating officers to constantly upgrade their knowledge and skills to keep themselves abreast with ever changing technological advancements.
