After I passed out of my SSLC from Raghavendra High School, Malleswaram, Bangalore in the year 1987-88, I was on the look out for a good College. I was in a dilemma to choose Science or Commerce. At this point of time, my uncle C L Krishna had provided me with some good insights for taking up Commerce for my PU studies. However, I tossed a chance in applying to MES College for Science and in applying to Seshadripuram PU College for Commerce and was also very firm to take up further studies based on whichever application comes out successful. So, my fate was to choose Commerce and Seshadripuram PU College.

The journey of making myself a special and happy man started alongside my College Days. Thanks to Seshadripuram Group of Instututions. I am always happy and proud to be a student of my Alma Mater. The golden harvesting time to mould up my personality to a perfect shape happened here. We had just four periods in a day, 7.30AM to 8.30AM-1st period, 8.30AM to 9.30AM -2nd period, 9.30AM to 10.00AM Break, 10.00 to 11.00AM 3rd period and 11.00AM to 12.00 Noon- last period. That’s all and I used to be back in home by 12.30pm each day. The rest of the day was totally free...free...free...and this was for complete five years giving a spread of 2 years PU and 3 years B.Com., degree. How can I forget one more luxury ? most of the times last periods were let-off, sometimes last two periods no classes leaving us free from 9.30AM onwards. Giving scope for attending some morning show movies very comfortably. Also, if last period was not there and third period was a dry subject, we couple of friends used to bunk classes for the sake of morning show movies. We would have missed few classes, but never missed the right direction in the path of our lives or career.

In my opinion, studies alone cannot bring all perfection to any individual. There are so many factors for each individual from time to time for what he or she is at a given point of time. I used to get up around 6AM get ready to take a bus each morning by 7AM from Devaiah Park and reach College on time. So, the practice of getting up at 6AM has just continued throughout my life till now. I have great memories to cherish my friends Rajesh Gowda, Veena,Harish, Ramapriya and many more from Devaiah Park to get into the buses. Though Rajesh Gowda was in Science stream, he had been very close to me since my childhood. I spent a lot of time with him in chatting various social issues, public issues, creative issues and all in all about life from different dimensions. We emerged ourselves as young philosophers as we had free time to discuss many aspects from 12.30PM onwards to 10.00PM in the night most of the times either on our street, Malleswaram Railway Station, Malleswaram 8th Cross beats and what not. I am very happy to see his career progression over a period of time. Born tough Rajesh Gowda shared common wave length with me on many fronts later completed his BE., Civil and further passed IAS and to remain in Bangalore, surrendered his IAS after successfully completing his KAS  and  he is one of the most dynamic Administrative Officer  who got promoted again to IAS cadre in Government of Karnataka.

I enrolled myself to typing classes at Sri Venkateshwara Institute of Commerce near Devaiah Park, my shorthand classes at Gokhale Institute of Commerce, 4th Cross, Malleswaram to pass some free time of the day. I also graduated myself as a typing instructor at Prasad Institute of Commerce,16th Cross, 8th Main, Malleswaram, led the role of shorthand instructor role to MES College job oriented course students. I also started teaching profession at Best Institute, Mill Corner. While I was studying for my B.Com., I used to teach for SSLC, PUC and B.Com., courses...all in all I am unable to quantify what and all I learnt in a span of five years from my PU to B.Com., completion besides being very active in various literary and cultural activities as a College topper for extra-curricular activities. So only I describe this period as my golden harvesting period. All potential skills within ourselves are to be discovered only by ourselves for further growth and development is my firm belief.

The act of socializing, viewing few movies have really given in-depth knowledge to understand life. It’s difficult to write about all lecturers in detail, but few of them whom I think in varied ways are to be mentioned is my feeling. Prof.Udaya Chandra, my PU College Economics Lecturer is more than an Amartya Sen for me.  Prof.B Shivaram has been my role model for my Commerce in life.  Prof.Anantha Murthy was altogether different to understand the logic of business in education.Smt.Seethalakshmi my English lecturer who had real concerns and encouragement for my cultural activities.Sri.M Chandrappa, Political Science lecturer who was not connected to my stream of study had recognised my skills and encouraged for my growth and development. G S Venkataraju, Principal, Staff cum Film artist Karibasavaiah and all PU lecturers who taught me were just superb in life.

From my Degree College, Principal Prof.KE Radhakrishna was like a Dronacharya for me. Prof.M V Sathyanarayana ensured and taught me the art of how to smell the fragrance of life. Sri N Geethacharya & Sri.Narahalli Balasubramanya stands special in terms of motivation and encouragement given for my overall cultural and literary accomplishments. Entire Commerce Department was a big brand of celebrities while I was studying my PU and Degree for each one is equally acknowledged with my special thanks. I also do not want to miss Smt.A C Thangamma, a special lady from Seshadripuram Education Society Trust Office for encouraging my writing talents in my infancy in the field. All I could do in this short write-up is just a glimpse of how my College Days were. Honestly, it’s very big and even a big length book is easy to narrate the experiences which had given me great exposures. Well, having said that I am just re-thinking that I completed my SSLC at my sixteenth year(so the number 16 is so special for me even today) and most of my college days were in my teenage. It is evident that teenage is very special not only for our biological growth but also for intellectual growth. I am redefining its values just not in terms of narrating few instances here, but making my mood re-set to my teenage days. Perhaps, the spirit which I had on my first day, first period of first PU is re-set now, what can I witness for about next five years ??? I feel that we must refresh our phases of life and reset ourselves into teenage moods and blossom well both in personal and professional life. I salute the great Group- Seshadripuram Educational institutions by truely remembering and offering my prayers to the Goddess Saraswathi idol which is prominently used as logo for all Seshadripuram Eductional Institutions and used at the main entrance to bow our head and enter the sacred premises.
